What they’ll make and skills: Around the World Summer Scran School – Day 3: A Taste of Finland!
Children will prepare authentic Finnish meatballs using a traditional family recipe that we were lucky enough to learn from a wonderful lady called Kiira in her home in Helsinki. They’ll safely prepare, season and shape their meatballs before serving them alongside creamy mashed potatoes for a comforting Nordic feast.
As they cook, young chefs will develop essential kitchen skills including safely handling raw meat, food preparation, knife safety, shaping and seasoning meatballs, and making smooth, fluffy mashed potato using fresh ingredients.
Suitable for ages 4–12 years
(children must have started school)
Ages 4–7: parent/guardian must stay
Ages 8+: drop-off allowed (don’t forget to pick them up!)

Arrive 5 minutes before the class starts.
Aprons are provided – but things might get messy!
