Welcome to Chinese New Year Scran School!

Dish: Sweet & Sour Chicken with Egg Fried Rice

Date: Sunday 7th February
Time: 10am-12pm & 2-4pm

Where: Workshops take place in our home kitchen in Thornton, Lancashire – full address provided after booking.

What they’ll make and skills: Children will cook a classic sweet and sour chicken, learning how to prepare and coat the chicken, balance flavours to create the perfect tangy sauce, and safely cook using the hob. They’ll also make egg fried rice from scratch, practising key skills like cracking and cooking eggs, stir-frying rice, and combining ingredients to create a delicious, takeaway-style dish.

Suitable for ages 4–16 years
(children must have started school)

Ages 4–7: parent/guardian must stay

Ages 8+: drop-off allowed (don’t forget to pick them up!)
Please confirm who will be attending when booking.

Arrive 5 minutes before the class starts.

Aprons are provided – but things might get messy!
