Welcome to Scran School
Dish: Hawaiian chicken, mango slaw, colourful rice with a tropical drink.
Date: Saturday 13th June
Time: 2-4pm
Where: Workshops take place in our home kitchen in Thornton, Lancashire – full address provided after booking.
What they’ll make and skills:
They will develop key cooking skills including safely handling raw chicken (with a focus on hygiene, avoiding cross-contamination, and proper handwashing), learning how to season and cook meat thoroughly, and using knives safely to dice and prepare vegetables for their coleslaw. They’ll also explore how to create colourful rice by dyeing it naturally.
Suitable for ages 4–16 years
(children must have started school)
Ages 4–7: parent/guardian must stay
Ages 8+: drop-off allowed (don’t forget to pick them up!)
Please confirm who will be attending when booking.
Arrive 5 minutes before the class starts.
Aprons are provided – but things might get messy!
