Welcome to Scran School’s celebration of Great British Food Fortnight
Dish: Cheese & Onion Pie
Date: Saturday 3rd October
Time: 2-4pm
Where: Workshops take place in our home kitchen in Thornton, Lancashire – full address provided after booking.
What they’ll make and skills: Children will celebrate British Food Fortnight by preparing a classic cheese and onion pie, creating a rich, savoury filling and encasing it in pastry before baking it until golden, crisp, and deliciously bubbling.
They’ll explore traditional British flavours and ingredients, carefully preparing and assembling their pie before adding their own finishing touches. Once baked, they’ll enjoy a hearty, comforting slice of this much loved British classic while building confidence and skills in the kitchen
